Where software earns its keep for a mission
A small staff, a large membership, and a board that wants to see impact. The organizations that grow are the ones whose systems let a few people serve many, and whose data tells the story of the mission without a week of spreadsheet work before every board meeting. (See how a national aviation association trained 10,000+ student pilots on a platform we built.)
- Member & program platforms — the experience your members or participants actually touch, built for how your organization works and connected to the CRM you already have
- One view of the mission — membership, programs, giving, and outcomes in one place, so reporting to the board and to funders is a query, not a project
- Staff time back — the renewals, reminders, applications, and reporting that eat a small team’s week, automated with a person still approving what matters
Example build: a program platform that enrolls participants, delivers content, tracks completion and outcomes, and produces the funder report automatically.
(Illustrative — your scope and numbers depend on your organization.)
How we deliver
For a platform you already run, a System Evaluation tells you whether to fix it, extend it, replace it, or connect it. For something new, a VDP Sprint turns your program into a plan with a cost on it that you can take to a board or a funder. AI Office automates the administrative work once the data is trustworthy. A fractional CTO owns the technology decisions when nobody on staff can. Highly qualified people, based in Texas, and you own what we build.
Common questions
Our budget is smaller than a company’s. Can we afford custom software? The honest answer is that it depends on what the software has to do, and we say so before you spend anything. A System Evaluation or a VDP Sprint is a fixed fee and gives you a plan and a cost you can take to your board or your funder, whether or not you build with us. We work to a fixed budget, which matters more to a non-profit than to almost anyone.
Have you worked with associations and non-profits before? Yes. We built the mobile-first learning platform that trained more than 10,000 student pilots for AOPA, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and we work with Space Workforce for Tomorrow, a non-profit focused on the space-industry workforce. Ask on the first call and we will point you to the closest comparable work.
Can you help us decide what to buy versus build? That is often the whole first engagement. Most associations should buy their CRM and their accounting system and build only the piece that makes them distinct: the member experience, the program platform, or the data layer that ties it together. A build-versus-buy read is part of the VDP Sprint.
