Rewrite or modernize?
Usually modernize. A rewrite makes sense when the data model is broken or the platform is truly dead. Otherwise, reengineering the existing system is cheaper, faster, and keeps your users and support team on familiar ground. The System Evaluation gives you the recommendation with the reasoning attached.
Can you take over code someone else wrote?
Yes — that’s a large share of this work. We start with the evaluation, get the codebase under source control and continuous integration if it isn’t, stabilize what’s fragile, and then extend. Scarce documentation is normal; it doesn’t stop us.
Will there be downtime?
We plan for none. Modernization ships in slices behind the running system, with real testing before any cutover. If a migration needs a maintenance window, you’ll know the date and the rollback plan in advance.
How is it priced?
After the evaluation. Well-defined work is usually fixed fee with fixed scope; a longer program of enhancements is often a dedicated team. We recommend; you decide.
