Software Firm Named Best Place to Work for Sixth Time

2021 Best Companies to Work for in Texas - Frogslayer

Despite the Great Resignation movement sweeping the nation, Frogslayer continues to grow and retain talent.

(October 4th, 2021 – College Station, Texas) Frogslayer, an 80-person software product design and engineering firm that specializes in large, multi-faceted projects with aggressive deadlines, was named to Texas Monthly’s 2021 Best Companies to Work for in Texas, a renowned ranking of the top 100 workplaces in the state. This is the 5th year in a row and 6th time overall Frogslayer has appeared on this list, ranking number 10 for 2021.

To be considered for this award, companies must submit an in-depth questionnaire and employees volunteer to provide honest feedback by taking part in a company-wide survey. The Best Companies Group analyzes the data to determine what it takes to be the “best” and uses data to rank qualifying companies.

As “The Great Resignation1 movement continues to sweep workplaces worldwide as result of the pandemic, Frogslayer has remained steadfast over the past 18 months in serving its people and clients while navigating the new normal and continued challenges ahead.

Jason Herrington, Head of People & HR at Frogslayer, notes, “If there is anything that COVID-19 has taught employers, it’s that their people really do have the largest impact on business success, and it is more important than ever to invest in their employees. Frogslayer has worked diligently to improve the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of our colleagues and to foster an environment that encourages flexibility, transparency, and mutual respect and understanding.”

As Frogslayer looks ahead to the future, they will continue to build upon these efforts and have an unwavering commitment to the well-being of all employees to maintain high engagement, reduce attrition, and attract high-caliber thinkers and makers.

In a recent interview with Young Upstarts, Frogslayer CEO Ross Morel stated “Workplace-based awards say a lot about our culture. The software industry is highly competitive; even more so with a global talent shortage. Many of people could join bigger names like Microsoft, Amazon, or Google, but they choose to work here. In return, we focus on bringing in interesting and challenging projects that align with our core purpose to ‘build a world that works better for everyone.’ The result is a highly motivated staff that is deeply committed to client success and impact. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
