Growing software development firm plants permanent roots in College Station with a promise to increase high-tech job opportunities in area.
BRYAN, TEXAS (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 28, 2017 – Frogslayer, a custom software development firm located in Bryan, TX, purchased a new office building in sister city College Station in June, making the area Frogslayer’s permanent headquarters. Frogslayer has been a tenant in the Bryan-College Station area for 12 years and is excited to make College Station it’s permanent home.
“Purchasing this new office could not have come at a better time,” said Frogslayer’s Director of Operations Chris Morel, who is also currently heading up the renovation of the new building. Frogslayer has grown 454% over the past 4 years, and added 20 new high-paying technology jobs to the community in the past year alone. “Growing fast is exciting and challenging, but it’s important we continue to have a reputation for being one of the best companies to work for in Texas. A good office space is a huge part of that for software teams. After renovations are complete in December, we should triple our amount of space. We’re hoping that will hold us 3-5 years and give us time to purchase land and design a proper building or mini campus,” stated Morel.
When making the decision of choosing the best city to plant Frogslayer’s roots, Business Operations Manager, Devin Rabon stated, “There really was no comparison when it came down to deciding where we should plant our roots. We’ve experimented with offices in Austin before and thought about moving to larger markets like Houston or Dallas. While the search for talent can be difficult here, it’s getting easier as we’re seeing more students willing to stay in the area after they graduate. The university and local economy is growing — with that comes a sense of stability, job opportunities, and more to do.”
With the increase of space and permanent roots comes a promise of continued growth from President and CEO, Ross Morel. “Expansion of space means Frogslayer can both continue to grow and continue our focus on adding local high-paid tech careers to our area. We’re paying well above market salaries, with average compensation just over $87,000 a year. As we’re continuing to get a large amount of new business in the door, our recruiting and hiring effort is running full steam ahead. Our goal is to make Bryan-College Station the key destination for high-paid tech careers,” stated Morel.
